If you are going to be using Jboss AS with NetBeans, do not run it as a Windows service. Instead, simply unzip the binary zip file somewhere and run it from the bin directory. The directory where you unzipped the Zip file is what NetBeans wants as a location (at least, that is what Eclipse wants, not sure if NetBeans wants the base directory or something else). Also, NetBeans might not be updated to handle AS 6.
I already tried pointing the location to bin i am getting "PROVIDE A VALID JBOSS APPLICATION SERVER 4 0R 5 LOCATION " .
Also i tried with jboss-5.0.0.CR2 this version . I am getting the same error message.
Thanks for the reply.
Stop using beta versions of JBoss AS with NetBeans! NetBeans and Eclipse examine the directory structure looking for key files. Those files tend to move from location to location, especially in the beta releases. Instead, grab AS 5.1.0.GA and use that - NetBeans should like it just fine.
