This may be a stupid question but... we're using JBoss 4.0.5, is it using JBoss Serialization by default?

If so:

1. Is there something we could use/do to speed things up (serialized objects via Stateless Session Beans)?

2. Should we upgrade to the latest JBoss Serialization release?
