How to change the shape of components?

Hi everybody,

i need to change the style of some richfaces components (f.e. commandButton and selectOneMenu).

I know, that i can add a customized "myown.skin.properties-file", overwrite the default css classes and set own css classes to change the colors and font attributes, but i have to change the shape of the commandButton and add a shadow.

I searched the web for hours, but didnt find anything wich is about something similar to my "problem".

Can someone help me, please?

and... I cant use linked images as buttons, because the label must be localized.

try firebug and check the css

Hi,

Use rich-* CSS classes that come with every component. If you need some extra elements (e.g. extra DIV element for shadow), you can add them via JS code. It's extremely easy to do that via jQuery.

Another solution can be patching RF sources and rebuilding the whole from scratch.
