Ajax + session timeout

Hi everybody.

I'm using :

RichFaces 3.3.3 final

MyFaces 1.2.6

I have a page (xhtml) in my aplication with some a4j:commandbutton. When I click on one of this buttons with session expired I got a flashing a4j:status and no more. After that, the "onbeforeupdate" attribute fire my javascript function, and this is my problem. If the session expired, I don't wanna fire my javascript function in onbeforeupdate attribute.

Any idea I'll appreciate.

One more question.
Have a way to redirect user to another page when session expired with ajax request (a4j:commandButton)??

I never did that! I already tried make everything in the documentation but doesn't work.

web.xml:

   A4J.AJAX.onExpired = function(loc,expiredMsg){

      return loc;
    } else {
        return false;
    }
}

I don't understand why it never worked, so I gave up.
where I could be wrong?
