Searching is not easy enough in this site

I found the searching feature on this site hard to use!

Most of the time, I want to search a topic in where the space/community I am already in (HornetQ or "Website Issues") the discussion listing page. But typing the word in search box always first search the ENTIRE community first before I can click options to restrict to a space. And the restriction is a free text box not selection list.

This is not very user friendly.

I agree the search functionality here has become too much of a pain. Infact, as you note, it has got worse after the SBS version upgrade. You can't select the forums which you want to search (you have to remember and type the forum names!). And even after doing that, the search itself isn't very accurate and is extremely slow. I've given up on using the search in the forums.
