ilya_shaikovsky Oct 26, 2010 8:31 AM (in response to spiritfox26)http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/richfaces/branches/community/3.3.X/samples/richfaces-demo/ - checkout the project from SVN and then check the bean code. In a few words it's just hold list of selected item values.

spiritfox26 Oct 26, 2010 8:52 AM (in response to ilya_shaikovsky)I think I'm not expressing good. I'm understand the bean code, but not resolve my problem, because i only need one value (item has focus).
I try this, but i don't have idea how obtain the value of item to set in value porperty to actionParam.
<rich:pickList id="pickCIsAfectados" value="#{incidenteEditBean.configurationsItemsResult}" listsHeight="375px" sourceListWidth="180px" targetListWidth="180px" copyAllControlLabel="#{msg.copiarTodosLabel}" copyControlLabel="#{msg.copiarLabel}" removeAllControlLabel="#{msg.removerTodosLabel}" removeControlLabel="#{msg.removerLabel}"> <f:selectItems value="#{incidenteEditBean.configurationsItemsAll}"/> <a4j:support event="onclick"> <a4j:actionparam name="idCI" value="selected item" assignTo="#{incidenteEditBean.idCI}"/> </a4j:support> </rich:pickList> <a4j:commandLink value="Load" onclick="#{rich:component('modifyCIPanel')}.show();return false;" styleClass="ButtonYellowSmall78" onmouseover="this.style.color='#0000CC';" onmouseout="this.style.color='black';"/>

6. Re: rich:pickList get selected item value
ilya_shaikovsky Oct 27, 2010 2:41 AM (in response to spiritfox26)because i only need one value (item has focus).
you mean selected? selection could be passed to Bean property only in ListShuttle. But the component supports multi selection and for both lists. So I think you should check additionally if it really fit your case.
P.S. support can't be attached like that. I believe that the pickList encodes items on it's own and do not consider child behaviors.

12. Re: rich:pickList get selected item value
lfryc Aug 25, 2011 3:52 AM (in response to bharathnav)Hi Bharath, listShuttle and pickList's from 3.x functionality has been merged into single component - pickList - in 4.1.0.M1.
You can see redesigned pickList in the release announcement [1], and you can use in input-demo developer example [2],
or you can discuss JIRA covering implementation mentioning the merge [3].
Component is going to be part of Showcase in 4.1.0.M2.

14. Re: rich:pickList get selected item value
bharathnav Sep 5, 2011 8:38 AM (in response to lfryc)Hello Lukas,
I have one more doubt, could you please help me.
I have a picklist and in the source item I have values(say a, b and c). When a user clicks on value 'b' in source, I have to display details of selected value 'b' in some output panel before moving that to the target item and submitting the form.
You have any idea regarding this?
Thanks,
-Bachchu
