Richfaces 'a4j is undefined' linux problem

    Matt Gallina Newbie

I'm trying to run my richfaces/seam project on a centos 5.0 linux box. Despite jboss booting up with no apparent errors in any of the log files, when I go to open any of the .xhtml pages (ie. home.seam) I receive the error messages 'a4j is undefined' and 'modalpanel is undefined'.

This occurs on both IE and firefox.

As all of the standard JSF components are still rendered when this occurs, this problem seems to be specific to richfaces and a4j components.

The kicker is that I can run this same application successfully on a number of windows machines; this only started to happen when I deployed my application to a linux box for the first time last week.

Following some of the other posts out there I have tried adding the org.ajax4jsf.Filter filter to the web.xml but this doesn't make any difference (also it should be noted that I don't have the ajax filter defined in the app running on my windows machine either).

Does anyone have any ideas as to what could be happening here?

      My set up is:

      Jboss 4.2.2 (running JSF 1.2)

      seam 2.1.2

      richfaces 3.3.2
