<a4j:poll> returs Object required error in IE7

<a4j:poll> returs Object required javascript error in IE7, but it was fine in IE6.

Can anyone please suggest me the solution for this problem, we are really in need to move this code into production.

I'm using the following versions of jar:

ajax4jsf-1.1.1-SNAPSHOT
myfaces-api-1.1.5
tomahawk-1.1.5-SNAPSHOT
richfaces-3.0.1-SNAPSHOT
struts-1.2.8 -- for tiles.

Is it possible to migrate to RichFaces 3.3.3? Because there can be a bug in these ancient ajax4jsf/richfaces libraries. And obviously noone is gonna fix it in that version.

1) I don't think that there are any other equivalent tags(a4j:push is definetly not the same as a4j:poll).
2) I'm afraid that you have myfaces 1.1.x and it should mean that it's JSF 1.1 but not jsf 1.2.

Thanks for the reply.

I have somehow replaced the ajax4jsf with ajaxAnywhere compenent for the Poll functionality.

But during the ajax refresh after some 'n' requests the values of the ManagedBean has got reset to defualt. i.e. the variable I have used for contiously polling becomes false which in turn stops the process.

Appreciate your input / help on this.

It's hard to say what's happening because you are using ajaxAnywhere now and anyway we can't see your code. Try to debug your code with "System.out"

I have done some investiagetion and found that the bean is getting re-created after some particuler time....(Verified using sysout in constructor)..

Is there any way we can set some timeinterval before it is getting re-created.
