15. Re: Can I run Web editor separately in jBPM5?
kluverkamp Apr 4, 2011 12:41 PM (in response to tsurdilovic)I believe in Guvnor would be better, since it generate the the .bpmn ID. If i use the the file system, i don't know personally how to communicate the specific uuid to the desginer ( i.e. what is the url to that specific .bpmn file)
Thanks Tihomir.

16. Can I run Web editor separately in jBPM5?
tsurdilovic Apr 4, 2011 12:51 PM (in response to kluverkamp)When you use the "default" profile, for example:
http://localhost:8080/designer/editor?profile=default&uuid=1234
saving your process will store the process .json to servlet.getServletContext().getRealPath("/repository")
and your file name is going to be 1234.json.
Next time you open the editor an navigate to http://localhost:8080/designer/editor?profile=default&uuid=1234
designer is going to try to look up 1234.json and load it if it exists.
Same would apply if we create a new profile which would store 1234.bpmn2 instead of 1234.json.
Storing the process bpmn2 in Guvnor
would be similar however the uuid of a new process would be generated by guvnor. If you want later on to edit the process, you would have to either write down that uuid or go to Guvnor, open the process there and copy the uuid from the url.
Maybe the best option would be to provide both abilities but figuring out which one should be first would help.

17. Re: Can I run Web editor separately in jBPM5?
kluverkamp Apr 4, 2011 1:00 PM (in response to tsurdilovic)Thanks Tihomir
well, when i use the default prfile with an already existing .bpmn process definition, it opens with process definition. But i always get a "saving failed" message when i save my work there.
in my scenario, i will use the .bmpn file as entry for jBPM.
So the question, do i missing something to get that error ? because if that works fine it will fit welll my need
Thanks again

18. Re: Can I run Web editor separately in jBPM5?
tsurdilovic Apr 4, 2011 1:06 PM (in response to kluverkamp)You need to deploy the designer.war as exploded war in $jboss/server/$profile/deploy/designer.war (directory).
Also if you read older messages in this thread you will note that the default profile only saves process json..never the bpmn..so its pretty much useless if you ever need the bpmn. Also alot of fixes and new features added in the last months are specific to the jbpm5 profile and you wont be able to use them with "profile=default".
Thanks.

new-comer Apr 4, 2012 3:12 PM (in response to bmgood)Hi Tihomir,
I saw your video at http://vimeo.com/22033817
which is exactly what we need, is it possible for you to share the source code how you did it? if not, at least give us some ideas how you did it?
Thanks in advance,

23. Re: Can I run Web editor separately in jBPM5?
new-comer May 31, 2012 2:30 PM (in response to new-comer)Does the demo have to be running on JBoss 5 EAP? I am trying to build it in JBoss 5.1 GA, it complains about missing Seam 2.2 EAP5.
BTW, I have JBoss Tool plugin installed with Eclispe 3.6, including Seam plug in.
Thanks.

25. Re: Can I run Web editor separately in jBPM5?
tsurdilovic May 31, 2012 5:44 PM (in response to new-comer)You should be able to switch your Seam runtime in Eclipse for the demo project. I used the Seam-EAP5 runtime but you should be able to switch it to any community Seam2 runtime and run it fine.

26. Re: Can I run Web editor separately in jBPM5?
new-comer Jun 1, 2012 9:54 AM (in response to tsurdilovic)Hi Tihomir,
I am not familiar with Seam at all, but I have downloaded Seam 2.2 and unzipped it to my local drive and configured Seam web to that directory, but after I imported the project as an exisitng project (nothing indicate it is seam project though), there missing libraries, so I have downloaded jboss-kernel.jar and jsf-api-1.2.jar, the compile errors were gone, the thing is that I am not sure how to switch to Seam runtime, so when I tried to load the page (http://localhost:8080/standalonedemo/standaloneManager.seam), I got 404 error.
Thanks for your help in advance.

new-comer Jun 1, 2012 11:53 AM (in response to new-comer)And when I tried to publish to the server, the deploy always fails.
In the server.log, I saw the error:

28. Re: Can I run Web editor separately in jBPM5?
tsurdilovic Jun 1, 2012 12:00 PM (in response to new-comer)The demo is like one Java class and a one UI page I don't understand why you are unable to just pick that code up and create your own app from it. The Demo is really meant for users to look at how to use the standalone editor and some _very_ simple Java code to accomplish something cool..if you are unable to just look at it and create something that is your own then i dont know what to say

new-comer Jun 1, 2012 12:15 PM (in response to tsurdilovic)haha, let me see if I can make that happen, actually I did not try to read the code yet, thought make it work first, then look at it. Anyway, thanks for your reponse:)
