1. Show Task-Forms without jBPM-Console (as JSF/JSFP/HTML)
salaboy21 Feb 22, 2011 7:15 AM (in response to k1nghg0)Hi there,
Yes you can use any frond end technology that you want. jBPM5 exposes a set of APIs that helps you to build your Task List Oriented Applications.
If you want to use JSF / JSP you can use the APIs directly.
Let us know if we can help you with something else.
Greetings!

2. Show Task-Forms without jBPM-Console (as JSF/JSFP/HTML)
k1nghg0 Feb 22, 2011 1:50 PM (in response to salaboy21)Hey,
thanks for your quick response!
I just took a look at jBPM 4, because I had some issues using version 5.
I'll take a closer look at v.5 the next days .
Does jBPM 4 also support JSP/JSF-(Task-)Forms? I just found something about the ftl-Templates in the User/Developer Guide.
regards and a big thanks

4. Show Task-Forms without jBPM-Console (as JSF/JSFP/HTML)
k1nghg0 Feb 24, 2011 6:47 AM (in response to salaboy21)I assume if I access the tasks using the API (with jBPM 4.4) I'll face the same problems which I had in a previous project.
(There I used Microsoft SharePoint Services with custom Task Forms).
- How do I access the specific Task? (is it: passing the Task-ID to the form and access the task thorugh this ID in a Bean or something like this?)
- Where can I store the Task-Form-Values? (can I create something like a Hash-Table which I can access throughout the whole process?)
Remind that I want to use JSF-Forms .
Thanks for responses!
Regards.

5. Show Task-Forms without jBPM-Console (as JSF/JSFP/HTML)
k1nghg0 Mar 17, 2011 3:24 PM (in response to salaboy21)Hey,
I still have the following problem
If I am using a JSF-Form, how can I get my Form-Data into the Variables-Table of jBPM?
I know that I need to create a HashMap, but is there a common and generic way to do so?
So I want to save all the Form-Data in the Database...
Regards.

6. Show Task-Forms without jBPM-Console (as JSF/JSFP/HTML)
roxy1987 Mar 29, 2011 3:42 AM (in response to k1nghg0)Hey,
You can save the form data by using ExecutionService.setVariable(s)() method.
Take a look at chapter 7 in userguide. http://docs.jboss.org/jbpm/v4/userguide/html_single/

7. Show Task-Forms without jBPM-Console (as JSF/JSFP/HTML)
k1nghg0 Mar 29, 2011 1:54 PM (in response to roxy1987)Hey,
thanks for your answer.
I already knew the setVariables-Method. So do I have to loop through each Input-Element on my Form and set a new Variable inside the Loop?
Or do you suggest another, less difficult, possibility?
Thanks again and regards.

8. Show Task-Forms without jBPM-Console (as JSF/JSFP/HTML)
roxy1987 Mar 31, 2011 12:42 AM (in response to k1nghg0)No you wont have to call setVariable() for each variable. setVariables() takes Map as argument. Calling it once would set all the variables in the Map.
Sorry I dont know any other way for doing this.

11. Show Task-Forms without jBPM-Console (as JSF/JSFP/HTML)
pras_karnam May 4, 2011 4:26 AM (in response to salaboy21)Hi Mauricio,
Need a little help on calling the Task Forms via code without console as discussed above. I have my application front end in JSF and from the process I need to call a specific task form which is also a JSF. Is there somewhere a link to this topic in the forum or can you throw some light on this please..
regards,

girichess Oct 15, 2013 3:03 AM (in response to salaboy21)Can you please elaborate this one. I am using jBPM 5.4.
"Yes you can use any frond end technology that you want. jBPM5 exposes a set of APIs that helps you to build your Task List Oriented Applications.

I am new to this, Now I can able to deploy the project which has .ftl as taskfrom into guvnor and it works fine. I need to use .jsp instead of .ftl.
So you have mentioned like we can use APIs, That means we need to create/use the api instead of guvnor page or we need to use jsp with servlet and calling the process from there. Guide me to the path..
