We have an application deployed on Gatein-3.1.0-GA (Jboss 5.1.0.GA). Lately the application has been very unstable, so we performed an analysis of memory usage. During these analysis we found out that most of the memory consumption was caused by allocation of codehaus.groovy.runtime objects.
It was for example discovered that 5200 objects were allocated in the heap during the same period. This was on one of the server nodes that was inactive in the period.
Our application is not implented with Groovy. I am wondering if there are any known issues with gatein and memory consumption/leakage?
I would very much appreciate your help.
Thank you in advance.
For each Groovy template (the .gtmpl file), whenever the template is used to render the content, a new instance of groovy runtime object is created. So it seems to me that your application causes the template processing happen more frequent than usual.
