    Custom logging file for AS 6

    mark boletti Newbie

      Dear all JBoss users,

      I'm trying to deploy an application on the AS 6 which uses its own jboss-logging.xml. I've checked out on this forums for a solution, but I could not find one way to isolate logging for my application. In other words, the logs are issued both on my file and in jboss server log.

      Here's my jboss-logging.xml

      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

      <logging xmlns="urn:jboss:logging:6.0" xmlns:b="urn:jboss:bean-deployer:2.0"  >

           <periodic-rotating-file-handler

               file-name="/home/user01/applog.txt"

               name="FILECUSTOM"

               autoflush="true"

               append="true"

               suffix=".yyyy-MM-dd">

            <error-manager>

               <only-once/>

            </error-manager>

            <formatter>

               <pattern-formatter pattern="%d %-5p [%c] (%t) %s%E%n"/>

            </formatter>

         </periodic-rotating-file-handler>

           <logger category="sampleapplication">

            <level name="WARN"/>

                  <handlers>

               <handler-ref name="FILECUSTOM"/>

            </handlers>

         </logger>

      </logging>

      How can I prevent my "FILECUSTOM" log to be captured by the application server root log ?

      Thanks a lot

      Mark
