Some of you might have seen in the forum threads and mailing lists that, after discussions within the community, it has been decided to release 6.1.0 version of JBoss AS. The release timeline isn't fixed but the plan is to fix the bugs that have been reported for 6.0.0.Final and once those targetted issues are fixed a release will happen soon.

Also, given that JBoss AS7 development is going on in parallel, most of the core JBoss AS developers are busy with implementing that version. As such, we are looking for some more help from the community contributors to take up some of the 6.x issues and fix those. Ofcourse, you'll get all the help you need, from us. We already have one community member, Daniel Bevenius , who has started helping us by picking up some JIRA issues (thanks Daniel!).
