Forced shut-down in Windows vs Linux

Hi,

Considering the following scenario :

1.)Start JBoss with HornetQ embedded and process some messages

2.)Stop JBoss while messages are still being processed

3.)Restart JBoss

On a Windows based system on JBoss restart messages will be processed from where they left on JBoss stop.
On a Linux based system there is no processing on JBoss restart.

I am experiencing these two and I find it very strange.The application is exactly the same just the OS is different.

Can someone point me to the correct case ?

I don't really understand what you are saying. If your saying you think there is a bug, please give us more info, type of test, topology, versions etc etc

First of all I would like to know(if possible) which is the correct scenario ?
If I stop JBoss and have in-process messages, should processing resume on JBoss restart ?

well that depends on what your scenario is, you havent told me enough info. persistant, is client side buffering enabledm how are you killing thenode etc etc
