rich:calendar vs. second

Is it possible to enter and show second's information in the rich:calendar component? I try to specify datePattern like "dd.MM.yyyy HH:mm:ss". When it shows me the date from the DB (which contains the second's information) I see: 07.08.2009 09:34:ss.
