Ok, second answered -
HornetQ's REST interface is installed as a Web archive (WAR). It depends on the RESTEasy project and can currently only run within a servlet container.
And first question partially answered (looking into Resteasy docs - http://docs.jboss.org/resteasy/docs/2.2.1.GA/userguide/html_single/index.html#Asynch_HTTP_Servlet3http://). I would still like to hear some clarification on this. Does REST interface use Netty or is this some other code(to me it looks like some specific code - org.jboss.resteasy.plugins.server.servlet.HttpServlet30Dispatcher)? Does this specific implementation provides nio? Was this functionality tested with latest HornetQ release?
tnx in advance & brg
