    f:validator on rich:calendar

      Hey y'all

      I have a very simple validator class.
      I have a very simple rich:calendar:

      <rich:calendar
       enableManualInput="true"
       value="#{andyBean.date}"
       id="issueDate"
       datePattern="dd/MM/yyyy"
       validator="issueDateValidator"
       immediate="false">
       <a4j:support event="oninputblur" bypassUpdates="true" ajaxSingle="true" reRender="dateDecorator" />
       <f:validator validatorId="issueDateValidator"/>
      </rich:calendar>

      If I enter a valid date into the calendar, my validator gets triggered (but validation passes). If I enter an invalid date (e.g "09/209990") and do a blur, the validator is never called. In fact nothing happens.
      Is this because there is some sort of default calendar validator taking over?
      Any ideas?

      Andy
