While configuring the JBOSS SPNEGO authenticator (2.0.3.GA ) for JBOSS 4.2.3 Why is necessary to have the service principal user account name same as hostname?

If its mandatory then what is the resaon for this restriction?

My JBOSS is deployed on Linux box.
