    JBoss 6.1 on Linux: LogManager was not properly installed  (you must set the "java.util.logging.manager" system property to  "org.jboss.logmanager.LogManager")

    rsearls Newbie

      Installed 6.1.0Final on Linux () x86_64 GNU/Linux.  Started "default" server and immediately got error on JBossLog4jRepostiorySelector.

      I'm running all the default settings.  The Bootstrap env is all default setting from JBOSS.   Google search and this forum search turned

      up no helpful information.

      How to resolve this issue?

      bash-3.2$ /apps/jboss-6.1.0/bin/run.sh -c default

          Add this to your $JBOSS_HOME/bin/run.conf file  and be sure to specify an absolute path to jboss-logmanager.jar

          JAVA_OPTS="$JAVA_OPTS -Djava.util.logging.manager=org.jboss.logmanager.LogManager"

          JAVA_ARGS="$JAVA_OPTS -Dorg.jboss.logging.Logger.pluginClass=org.jboss.logging.logmanager.LoggerPluginImpl"

          JBOSS_CLASSPATH="$JBOSS_HOME/lib/jboss-logmanager.jar"

            Hi R, I actually had the same issue so I added these 3 things you have mentioned above but now I get an error related to "transaction.log". Did you happen to know about it?
