    enabling https in jboss 6

    didds

      Hi - apologies for what is undoutedly a really numpty query but I have googled, tried and failed...

      I have a jboss-6.0.0.Final jboss instance that is running fine (centos 5.6 FYI) - but we need to make it available under https as well.

      The conf/bindingservice.beans/META-INF/bindings-jboss-beans.xml file has the following

              <!-- For services like those listed above that need to know the
                   port of the HTTPS connector -->
              <bean class="org.jboss.services.binding.ServiceBindingMetadata">
                 <property name="serviceName">jboss.web:service=WebServer</property>
                 <property name="bindingName">HttpsConnector</property>
                 <property name="port">8467</property>
                 <property name="description">JBoss Web HTTPS connector socket</property>
              </bean>

      ...  but starting the appp doesn;'t respon on port 8467 and lsof doesn;t list anything running there and a telnet to that port doesn;t connect etc.

      So I googled around found this page

      http://riaconnection.wordpress.com/2011/08/30/https-in-jboss-6tomcat-6/

      but that didn't work.  The app will start Ok following those instrauctions IF the server.sml file has the Https Connector section commented out but as soon as I enable it and edit it to point at the correct keystore ...  it just doesn;t work at all.

      Help!  How do I configure https to work on jboss 6?

      regards

      Ian
