Seam sql - typesafe sql framework

What happened to the Seam sql typesafe frmwk GKing wrote the POC for in the weld-dev mail list in Nov 2009?

Is this planned on being finalized and included as a module in Seam 3?

Something similar to Spring JdbcTemplate would be a very nice to have feature in the persistence category.

If there is interest in it, I'm sure it can be made a module, sandboxed first if not else.
