Poked the JVM through a JNDI lookup and found an instance of ManagerImpl.
Strangely enough, although the implementation class specifies a key of :
java:app/Manager. I found the instance registered at
java:comp/Manager. Guess its a bug!
It isn't a bug actually.
Read the spec (section 5.7.2). It's still an open issue.
Open issue: should it go in java:app or java:comp or both?
It's something I need to talk over with Roberto and Bill (the EE leads). I claim it should go in the new java:app namespace, since it is a fundamentally application global thing. But I don't think they agree with me on this, though I'm not sure why not.
