Dan Allen Jun 13, 2008 3:19 AM (in response to Dan Allen)Tell me about it. I have had to type jBPM at least a couple hundred times while writing Seam in Action. I cannot tell you how many times I have typed jBMP or some other mutilated form of it.

Dan Allen Jun 13, 2008 3:25 AM (in response to Dan Allen)Yeah, I was kind of thinking what acronym I would make out of it, given that people appear to want it to be an acronym.
Software for Enterprise Application MasterpiecesPerhaps I withdrawal my statement. It is an acronym after all! A masterpiece of one.
By the way, don't take my little pet peeve too seriously. Perhaps what I should ask is
what do you think it stands for?
Maybe someone knows something I don't ;) -

Brenton Partridge Jun 18, 2008 6:40 PM (in response to Dan Allen)...but that sounds suspiciously like FEMA, and Seam definitely has better response times...

Seam in Action: SEAM in Action and not Seam in Action? ;-)Cheers,

Good to see the postings regarding the acronym and Thank you very much for making Seam as SEAM (acronym) :).
But why can't you folks read it as
Seam
without finding any acronym ???If you continue doing the same.. people will become mad by thinking/finding the acronyms for Spring, GRails, Struts, etc.,
I Love to read asSeam

10. Re: Seam is not an acronym
Dan Allen Aug 23, 2008 9:57 PM (in response to Dan Allen)Because my communication to Manning kept being misinterpreted and even they got it backwards. Fortunately, I got it resolved before the final cover was created, so it will be correct in the print version and all subsequent materials.
