reloading the properties file without server restart

When using Jboss Seam with Jboss application server. is there any way to load any properties file (messagesen.properties etc) dynamically on request after modification without restarting the server.
It need not to be automatic, rather I would like to initiate a code piece say at fixed time of day to reload the properties file without server restart.
Is it possible?

My first thought would be to make a JMX method for that.
Load the properties file and put the data in a SFSB in the appropriate scope.
But then again Using entity beans a nd entries in the database is easier then.
