I have not used RequestParams in my application, but... just from the error you are getting..
Have you got proper getter and setter pairs for each of the properties you have annotated with the @RequestParameter?
Maybe post a bit more code of your bean to help out a bit.

@RequestParameter makes the set/get methods unnecessary.
However, I did try adding them to my @Local interface anyway.
Can you just try something really quick. Try setting your 'profile' parameter to something different in your pages.xml. Something without the '-' character in it. Just it seems odd that you are getting the error for the 'profile' parameter but not the 'group' param.

I do, in fact get the error msg for the group param also. It is the identical
errorso I didn't think to include it. A bit misleading, I guess...
Note that everything actually works properly: my parameters are set and I can use the values in my bean; I just get the annoying msgs added
I gave your suggestion a try anyway, but no change in behaviour w/o the dash.
