    seam version information

    jcg3.seam-forums.jcg3.org

      Hey guys--

I have been very happy with Seam and seam-gen and as a result have many different web applications built with various versions of Seam as it has progressed through several version numbers...

Unfortunately now it is difficult to see which version each web app was based on without throwing them into an app server and starting it up, looking for the info in the logs...  Is there an easier way to tell which version of Seam a given seam-gen'erated app is from?

If it isn't somewhere else right now, it seems like dropping the version number into your seam.properties file might be a good place to put it...  or at least that's my leading idea on it.  I can manually do that with new projects going forward, but would this make sense for everyone?

      Thanks,
      Jason
