Can't use the event anyhow as would interfere with a login re-direct.

Hummm.. was trying to use seam navigation rules but your comment does make me think.. I will look into what Seam returns after a login has been completed other than an event.

The point is that you are not in control when Seam does the login for you. You are not in a method at all.

Its all automagic.

I suppose I can put some nasty code on the page itself that says if the identity says I am now logged in do some sort of redirect.

Took some googling to find that identity.login returns loggedIn.

I probably should have looked at the code instead of the manaul.

Perhaps it COULD go in the manual (section  15.3.3.)
