Change the input text format after lost focus

Hi,
I want to change the format of input text field after its lost focus.

Consider user is going to enter the no. 12121212
Then i want to display in the format 12,12,12,12 in the text box after its lots focus.

Can anyone help me regards this.

Did You mean something like this?

<h:inputText id="input" value=""> <a4j:support event="onblur" reRender="input"/> <f:convertNumber pattern="##,##" type="number"/> </h:inputText>
