No it does not support FreeMarker out of the box. You have to use it on your own.
It all depends on what you want to use it for. There are tons of frameworks/libraries that use FreeMarker which could benefit you. It is better to ask these types of questions on the Freemarker mailinglist.
I want to note that even seam uses freemarker for the seam-gen, but it does not provide anything further than that.
