1. Re: problem having Multiple action links with required field field attribute.
mitkokg Oct 13, 2010 7:37 AM (in response to tausuahmed)You can set
immediate="true"
on the delete button. So the form validation will be bypassed and you will have the delete action.
My situation is other I also have multiple actions but I want for some actions the field to be required and for some not, but when I bypass the form validation the required fields are null.
Does anyone have an idea?

For your problem you can try custom validations means valid you fields while performing action.

niox.nikospara.yahoo.com Oct 15, 2010 9:12 AM (in response to tausuahmed)Hello Tauseef and Mitko,
The
Delete
button/required fields problem can easily be solved by using the Ajax4JSF variant of the command components and the ajaxSingle attribute:<a:commandButton value="Delete" ajaxSingle="true" action="#{bean.delete}" />
This would skip processing (i.e. validating, updating model) of everything else except the command component itself. It does what you want and is lighter for the server too!
