1. Re: RF 3.3.3 and 3.3.x: Problem with ExtendedDataTable and Column resizing with Firefox 10
mcmurdosound Feb 5, 2012 3:29 AM (in response to mcmurdosound)I was able to reproduce the same issue on different machines and different os but with the same major version of Firefox:
Windows 7 Pro, Firefox 10
archlinux, Firefox 10
running on Firefox 8 or 9 is no problem.
I'm going to test the development builds of Firefox up to the Firefox 13 (minefield nightly build)
Is this a bug in firefox, in richfaces or just a sideeffect?
EDIT:
it also happens with the latest nightly build 13.0a1 (2012-02-04)

2. Re: RF 3.3.3 and 3.3.x: Problem with ExtendedDataTable and Column resizing with Firefox 10
mcmurdosound Feb 7, 2012 10:06 AM (in response to mcmurdosound)Workaround:
ExtendedDataTable.DataTable.header.prototype.setColumnWidth = function (A, B) {
if (A >= this.getColumnsNumber()) {
return false;
} else {
if (!B) {
B = null;
}
sleep(500); // added for FF 10 compatibility
this.getColumns()[A].width = B;
}
}
function sleep(milliseconds) {
var start = new Date().getTime();
while ((new Date().getTime() - start) < milliseconds){
// Do nothing busy waiting...
}
}
just some ugly busy waiting
No! This is not enough.... something is still wrong.

mcmurdosound Jun 11, 2012 12:05 PM (in response to mcmurdosound)While looking into https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=735579 and https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=729114 it seems the bug has been fixed in the current version of firefox (no longer reproducible since firefox 13 beta 2)
