15. Re: HornetQ fails "Error trying to connect to any providers for xa recovery"
oranheim Feb 28, 2012 2:02 PM (in response to oranheim)Clebert,
I got some good news here.
1. BLOCK policy is set (not PAGE) as BLOCK is the reason to this issue
2. Page size is set, e.g. 1/10 of journal/max-size set
It does not go into a dead lock. The messagingjournal is rolling its files too.
stage:~$ ll /opt/jboss7/standalone/data/messagingjournal/ total 312 drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 4096 Feb 28 19:53 ./ drwxr-xr-x 8 root root 4096 Feb 28 19:18 ../ -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 102400 Feb 28 19:53 hornetq-data-1.hq -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 102400 Feb 28 19:53 hornetq-data-3.hq -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 102400 Feb 28 19:53 hornetq-data-5.hq -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 0 Feb 28 19:18 server.1.lock -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 19 Feb 28 19:18 server.lock
Conclusively, JBoss AS 7.x should have a default value of page-size set, so it does not confuse users; like me.
Anyhow, there should be a default value in HornetQ or JBoss Messaging that pre-set a value viable to run, eliminating this deadlock.
This time I was able to run 90 mesages throught he system without any errors. Earlier it crashed on <30 messages.
Page-size must be set!
Hope this was helpful!

clebert.suconic Feb 28, 2012 4:52 PM (in response to oranheim)Ok, then this is what I expected. PageSize should be ignored on Blocking. That's a different bug!
But anyway.. from my understanding.. the best option for your system is paging.
When I become an user of your system I want my request accomplishing at some point instead of being blocked because another system is not listening for requests. (just kidding )

als Aug 4, 2013 2:27 AM (in response to clebert.suconic)we tryed to do block and page, but still after several hours HornetQ fails with Java Heap Space issue. We use 7.1.1 Final.
What should we do?
