Whats the correct jboss-deployment-structure.xml for a jar within a sar deployment ?

I checked out the example on middlewaremagic.com but it doesnt work with JBoss 7.1

(of course if i unpack the jar inside the sar directory under deployments that works fine)

Anyone care to give me a hand on how to specify a dependency on a jar within a sar ?

After a bit more research i found this

which says it should be fixed in JBoss 7.1 Final - but obviously it isnt.

The workaround works though - no idea what it means - is there a significance to the choice of name "deployment.module.nested" ?

It's still marked as unresolved. I don't see where it says as fixed for 7.1.0.Final.

As per the workaround, you are creating a module named deployment.module.nested. The module definition is provided in the later lines of that jboss-deployment-structure.xml. The name must start with "deployment." prefix. That's the only requirement. More details about that xml can be found in this chapter https://docs.jboss.org/author/display/AS71/Class+Loading+in+AS7
