        Hi Matthias,

         

        Some how the changes are not working on my PC.

        But I am able to deploy start hello.war in jboss7.1

         

        I have few queries regarding JBoss7.1

        1. In JBoss4.2 when the server starts up it starts web.xml

            Can you let us know whether web.xml starts in jboss7.1?

         

        2. In Jboss4.2, jboss-service.xml is being used.

        I would like to know whether same xml can be used in jboss7.1 instead of standalone xml

          1. web.xml: from the servlet container or from your app?

          server web.xml ist part of the servlet container and will readout by starting the container.

           

          2. The standalone.xml in JBoss 7 is a central configuration unit, where you can configure the whole server stuff.

          But you can also use forther xml-files like the abc-ds.xml (datasource)-files like in jboss 4.2, but in the most cases it's useful to use standalone.xml

           

          I think this are all questions, which one of the JBoss guys can answer you in a much better way.

          For this it would be good idea to open a new thread in this forum.
