    Destination Server Failure Question

    Faeem Ali Newbie

      Hi all ...

I'm currently invoking remote EJBs from a "Client Server", as per this document: https://docs.jboss.org/author/display/AS71/EJB+invocations+from+a+remote+server+instance . In the event of the destination server failing, either before the client starts up or while the client is running,

      1. what is the expected behaviour of the client server? eg. Is an error reported?

      2. Will the client server need to be restarted to re-establish the connection once the destination server is available again?

      3. Is there a way of detecting this failure and automatically recovering to minimize downtime.

My apologies if this is not the correct forum for this post as it deals with EJBs and server configuration.

Lastly, please point me to the documentation for this, if it exists.

      Thanks in advance,

      Faeem
