This limit is fixed by the PLAIN SASL mechanism which is used with JAAS authentication so can not currently be expanded. We could consider an optional property to make it longer if you would like to raise a Jira feature request in the JBoss SASL project.
What type of client is this that is connecting?
Will this be taken into account for a future release?
I saw that the issue on JIRA related to this post will be resolved in CR 1.0.1 release. I've tried to find a connection between SASL releases and JBoss ones but without any success. In what JBoss version should I expect to find this feature.
