My question refers to the component sample shown here: http://showcase.richfaces.org/richfaces/component-sample.jsf?demo=outputPanel&skin=blueSky

In the first example (left side) of the demo they say:

This code does not work as expected. The expected echo text does not appear below even the condition for 'rendered' returns true.

But WHY does it not work? I miss the explanation and really cannot see why the code does not work.
