maybe you are using cmp2 and should look in jbosscmp-jdbc.xml instead.

yes i'm using cmp2 ,but i have also changed the settings in jbosscmp-jdbc.xml ("<create-table>false</create-table>")
Still its creating those tables.
You have to put the <create-table> and other properties
inside a element at the top.
- JBoss should issue a warning when JAWS
is used with CMP 2.x (or even a deployment exception)
- Throw a deployment exception instead of silently
ignoring the settings (or not ignore them).
I'm using CMP 2.0 with JBoss 3.0.0 alpha and this entry works fine :
note I'm using <remove-table> tag instead of <create-table>
