java.lang.IllegalStateException: No EJB receiver available for handling [appName:Hibernate-1.0-SNAPSHOT,modulename:,distinctname:] combination
My lookup string is "ejb:Hibernate-1.0-SNAPSHOT//JadDataSessionBean!com.whispir.hibernate.test.JadDataRemote"
Your lookup string is incorrect.
Notice carefully the log message which explains what each part of that string is. Your lookup string should be:
ejb:/Hibernate-1.0-SNAPSHOT//JadDataSessionBean!com.whispir.hibernate.test.JadDataRemote
appname = "" (empty since it's not an .ear)
modulename = Hibernate-1.0-SNAPSHOT
distinct name = "" (no specific distinct name)

3. Re: Unable to lookup remotely deployed EJB method with AS7
jaikiran Jun 8, 2012 9:58 AM (in response to codevally)So you seem to have fixed one part of it. And I'm sure you are not seeing the "same" error message. Take a closer look and you'll notice in the new error log that it is now using the correct appname, module name and distinct name combination unlike previously. Now the next issue I guess you are running into is the absence of a jboss-ejb-client.properties in your client classpath (assuming you are running a standalone client).
Take a look at these articles to get it working
Standalone case https://docs.jboss.org/author/display/AS71/EJB+invocations+from+a+remote+client+using+JNDI
Another AS7 instance as a client https://docs.jboss.org/author/display/AS71/EJB+invocations+from+a+remote+server+instance

henry.short Jun 8, 2012 3:42 PM (in response to jaikiran)Is there a way to specify the user and password in code rather than in the standalone.xml for EJB invocations from a remote server instance?

Henry, welcome to the forums! Please do not hijack someone else's post with a question of your own. Please create a separate thread to discuss your question.
