I should have mentioned that I did that already and that does work, but JBoss give me a warning about that when I deploy the application with that dependency defined in my manifest file:
13:33:00,382 WARN [org.jboss.as.dependency.private] (MSC service thread 1-2) JBAS018567: Deployment "deployment.customerportal.war" is using a private module ("com.mycompany.config:main") which may be changed or removed in future versions without notice.
I wasn't sure if this was the right way to do it and I should just ignore the warning, or if there is another recommended way.
I haven't heard back in a while so I guess that warning is to be expected..?
Can someone please confirm?
I am also in the process of migrating existing application from JBoss 4.0.4 to Jboss 7.1.2 and JDK(1.6)
Can you please let me know the steps or issues which you encountered during the upgrade as it will help me in my upgrade ?
You can see my other thread here:
Besides that, I have needed to add other dependencies in my manifest file because all the libraries are not loaded up in jboss7 by default.
So I need to specify cxf for the projects that use that project for exposing restful services.
You will likely see those kinds of errors by ClassNotFoundExceptions.
There is a guide here that seems useful, but I did not follow the steps closely myself:
