Infinispan uses a custom (pluggable) serializer for its internals: https://docs.jboss.org/author/display/ISPN/Plugging+Infinispan+With+User+Defined+Externalizers
Can you elaborate a bit on what/how gets serialized to a file, and how do you read that?
I have created a simple POJO with a few properties and put it to infinispan and serialized it to disk.
Then i changed the class, including the serialVersionID, and tried do retrieve the object.
I noticed that the infinispan returns the object silently and the java serialization fails, and that got me wondering, but as your reference explains, it must be a feature from JBoss Marshalling.
Thanks for the clarification.
Every object stored in infinicache must have Externalizer serializer? I want to use cache with overflow to disk.
