Hi there,
we migrated an application from JBoss-6.1.0Final to JBoss-7.1.1.Final on Windows-7 (Intel i5 2GHz, 8GB RAM) and it worked fine.
Afterwards the Jboss-Implementation was transferred on an older MacBooc-Pro (2.4 GHz Intel Core duo, 4 GB RAM)
we found, that it started much slower than the older JBoss-6-application. In fact, it runs so slow that we get an NamingException: java.naming.NamingException: Failed to create remoting connection [Root exception is java.lang.RuntimeException: Operation failed with status WAITTING]
java version 1.7.0_04 64bit started with -Xms512m -Xmx1024m
Any hints how to speed up JBoss-7 on Mac or how to solve the connection probleme are welcome
Thanks in advance

Do not use JDK7 on mac as it is horobly broken.
there are some fixes coming into update 6 but it is not released yet...
try with JDK6 on mac and it should work much better.
