The jBPM Designer supports English and Japanese currently - http://surdilovic.wordpress.com/2012/05/31/jbpm-designer-localization-added-support-for-japanese/ . Translations for more languages are welcome.
np, I can help u with Persian(Farsi) translation if u like. just provide me with files that need to be translated. I'll do my best,
PS: Persian has a right to left script as a subset of Arabic section in unicode. are u sure there won't be any RTL related problems after translating?
That would be great. Here are the main two files to be translated:
- notice there are some there but except _en and _ja none have been revised so far to be included
- to add a new locale start by copying the translation_en.js
-- this is the big one it includes ttext for the bpmn2 stencil set (nodes and their properties that we use)
There is currently still some hard-coded text in teh code but we are weeding those out as we go..don't worry about those now.
Hope this helps and thanks for any contributions!
wow, looks like I'm finally becoming part of an open source development. thanks for giving me the chance.
ok, for the 2nd file (bpmn2.0jbpm.orig), I'm going to add "description_fa" lines right under lines reading "description_ja".
but somehow the 1st file is a bit confusing 4 me. should I translate whatever string in the file, even ids, names and or other attributes?
You would translate whatever is within quotes, but good point, when you see a json strucutre like
you would leave the id as is. Maybe best is to look at the Japanese translation file: https://github.com/droolsjbpm/jbpm-designer/blob/master/src/main/webapp/i18n/translation_ja.js
as that should give you a better clue on what those guys did.
hopefully I will get it done in my next week. I'll send them directly to you since I have no prior experience with git right now.
thanks to translate...
