    How to support Multihome Remoting in Jboss 4.2.3

      I'm currently using Jboss 4.2.3. This has been customized for specific purpose. So, it is very hard to upgrade my server.

       

      From the Remoting documentation, I found that the multihome support in Remoting is available only from version 2.5.x which can use the target as Jboss 5,x and above.

       

      Is there any possibility to provide the multihome support for Jboss4.2.3 itself?

          Hi Arun,

           

          You are correct that the multihome facility exists only in Remoting versions 2.4.x/2.5.x.  It was a substantial code change, and it won't be ported back to the 2.2.x versions for AS 4.  In fact, all of these versions are now in maintenance mode.

           

          The only thing I can suggest (other than doing the port yourself) would be to drop in a 2.5 version (2.5.4.SP4 is the latest) and see if it works.  I expect it to be compatible, but there are no guarantees.
