I have JBoss hosted with an ISP who has MySQL available, but the 2 are running on separate servers across town. There is a high speed connection between them, but the log file keeps showing "java.sql.SQLException: Lost connection to server during query" and socket errors like "Connection aborted by peer: socket write error".
Does anyone have some ideas about this? I'm under the impression that it's a timeout between JBoss and MySQL caused by the distance between the servers, but surely this is part of the EJB intention - distributed computing. I'm now thinking it may be a configuration issue with MySQL or something similar.
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated as this is making my web sites look unreliable - not good for a fledgling business!
