We're using jboss2.4.4
When JBOSS is started and is connected to an Informix database. And then for some reason you restart the database (or reboot the server where the database is on).
Then after the restart of the database (or wait until the reboot is finished) jboss can't connect to the database anymore.
I see that the jboss is sending a request to the database but for some reason it can't create the prepared statement.
When I restart jboss the problem is gone (because then it reïnitialises the connection.
Is this normal behavior or is it a bug?
If so is it fixed in JBOSS 3.0
There is an idle timeout property in both jboss versions: you should set it fairly short and wait for all connections to be discarded.
In JBoss 3 its pretty obvious how to set this. In 2.4.x you have to set many params to get it to work. I probably remember wrong, try
