Is there a way to intercept plugin installation with a message if a depenedency is not found in local repo?

Hey there,

quite a long discussion title, but thats exactly what I'm looking for

I want my Forge plugin to check the users local Maven repository for a special dependency at installation time.

Is the dependecy is not found, a message should be printed and the installation should not continue (or be rolled back/not start).

Example:

I try to install the plugin via forge git-plugin command and the plugin tells me that dependency xy is not found and the installation is aborted.

Hey Max,

There's no way to do this currently, unfortunately, but would it work if you were able to produce an error message when the plugin was run? It's possible we could add something to do this if you want to email the dev list with your ideas!

thanks for your reply.

I think about it, maybe I use the DependencyFacet to check if it can resolve any version of the needed dependecy at the start of my commands..
