Possible use in AS7 subsystem?

Hi,

When people migrate older applications to AS7, they throw all sorts of crap at the server (EE jars, DB drivers jars, XML parser jars). Would it be possible to use some Tattletale API for checking e.g. which jars are already included in the JBoss Modules modulepath on the server?

Use 1.2.0.Beta2 and enable the jbossas7 report - http://docs.jboss.org/tattletale/userguide/1.2/en-US/html/reports.html#jbossas7

Thanks for the info. I was not that much looking for a report, I was more looking for a possible "API marriage" between Tattletale and JBoss modules so I could embed TT in the subsystem and for each JAR (class?) in the deployment, query JBoss Modules (if possible) and warn for possible conflicts.

Having an API for TTALE have been discussed, and everybody agrees it is a good idea.

However, I don't have time atm to work on such a feature, but feel free to file a JIRA for it. Pull requests are nice too

Aah, the ultimate Open Source trout slap ;-)

Unfortunately, public API design is hard. Public API design without knowledge of the inner API is a recipy for disaster.
