Stuff that you put in the deployments folder won't have an XML entry but stuff deployed with the cli/maven-plugin etc will have a hash reference to where it was stored.

jaikiran Jan 29, 2013 3:47 AM (in response to nickarls)That's correct - the deployments done via standalone/deployments folder (a.k.a filesystem based deployments) aren't "managed" and their information isn't persisted in the standalone*.xml files.
If you use management operations to deploy the application (for example via CLI or admin GUI) then those deployments are managed and will their information will be stored in the configuration files.
