b.eckenfels Mar 14, 2013 9:51 AM (in response to b.eckenfels)So from the limited communications I have seen (Marc's Blog post here: https://community.jboss.org/blogs/mark.little/2013/03/07/eap-binaries-available-for-all-developers#comment-11750) it looks like no community releases will happen anymore. Only EAP releases, which are aligned with the community repository. EAP 6.1.ALPHA is similiar to 7.2.0.Final (and the latest official release is EAP 6.0.1 which is based on 7.1.3.Final).
What hurts most is that Redhat is deprecating the use of comunity versions and calling them Alpha (as described here: http://www.jboss.org/jbossas/faq). I can understand the plan is to monetize the community more. But what happens is, that it drives away ISVs which want to use componets (not products).
